Scarlet Clark
Consultant
Scarlet is a consultant with Special Networks and a passionate ambassador for neurodivergent individuals. Having struggled in mainstream education with undiagnosed ADHD and autism, she then completed two English degrees at Goldsmiths University of London and is currently a Leverhulme Scholar and Doctoral Researcher at the University of Southampton.
Experiences of navigating systems and structures that do not support diverse strengths and needs heavily inform her inclusion and neurodiversity consultancy and training work.
Scarlet has previously held inclusion roles in universities, in addition to literacy and behaviour support roles in specialist provision schools.
Recent consultancy projects include advising the charity Autistica’s Insight Group for autism research; providing diversity and inclusion consultancy to the LEGO Foundation’s Play for All Accelerator programme; advising Pearson publishing on inclusion and working as part of the team supporting the LEGO Group’s development of inclusive workplace standards.
Scarlet has more recently been co-authoring the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists' new guidance on autism, aiming to further develop neuro-affirmative standards of practice.
